Terms of service
Effective July 15, 2026. These terms cover your use of Tuck.
Service
Tuck is a private family memory keeper and a DadBuilt product operated by 2618991 Ontario Inc., an Ontario corporation. In these terms, “Tuck,” “we,” and “us” refer to 2618991 Ontario Inc. when it operates the Tuck service. Parents and trusted contributors can send messages, photos, voice notes, and calls so Tuck can preserve, organize, search, and return family memories. By using Tuck, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who may use Tuck
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to use Tuck. Tuck is intended for adults who are parents, guardians, family members, caregivers, or authorized contributors to a private family memory record. A family organizer is responsible for inviting only people who should have access to that family's memories, and for the activity on the family's account.
Content about others, children, and recordings
Much of what families send to Tuck is about other people — especially children. By sending content, you confirm that you are a parent, guardian, or authorized caregiver of any child you record or describe, and that you have the right to share information about any other person you include. You are responsible for the choices of contributors you invite.
When you call Tuck or send a voice note, Tuck records and transcribes the audio to capture the memory. If other people can be heard, you are responsible for any consent their recording requires under the laws that apply to you. Do not record anyone where you are not permitted to.
Family content
Families keep ownership of the messages, photos, voice notes, calls, names, stories, and memories they send to Tuck. By sending content to Tuck, you grant Tuck a limited license to process, store, transcribe, summarize, organize, illustrate, and return that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to your family. Tuck does not sell family content and does not use it to train third-party AI models.
AI and original wording
Tuck uses AI and is designed to preserve original wording separately from summaries and tags. AI-generated summaries, tags, illustrations, and replies may be wrong, incomplete, or less precise than the original family content, and should not be relied on as a factual record or as professional advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on Tuck's output.
Messaging and calls
Using Tuck may involve the Tuck Moments recurring SMS and MMS program, voice calls, and related carrier or provider services. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated messages from Tuck Moments; consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Messages may come from +1 279-233-2002 in the United States or +1 587-900-0921 in Canada. You can opt out of text messages by replying STOP, resume by replying START where supported, or reply HELP for help. For additional support, email tuck@dadbuilt.app. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for information about how messaging data is handled.
Subscriptions and billing
Tuck is offered as a paid annual subscription at the USD prices shown on our pricing page. Digital includes the private digital annual book. Annual Book includes one 8×8 hardcover up to 120 pages, and Family includes two identical hardcovers. You may be asked to provide a payment method up front, and your subscription begins when checkout completes.
Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews each year and your payment method is charged the then-current price, plus any applicable taxes, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Physical books are produced only after you review and approve the proof. If a book included with an Annual Book or Family plan is still unused at renewal, that book remains available and the next family year renews as Digital at the then-current Digital price. If the included book has been used, the selected book plan renews normally unless you change or cancel it. Your subscription has a 14-day money-back guarantee: request it in one text (REFUND) within 14 days of your first payment, and we will cancel the subscription and refund every payment you have made, in full. After that window, except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated. We will give advance notice of any price change, and continued use after a change means you accept the new price. Some families may be given complimentary or founding access at our discretion. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; Tuck does not store full card numbers.
Fair use
Tuck is meant for ordinary, personal use by a single family. It is not for commercial, bulk, automated, or resale use, and it is not a general-purpose messaging, storage, or telephony service. To keep Tuck reliable and affordable for everyone — and because messaging and voice carry real per-use costs — we may set reasonable limits and monitor for atypical usage. If usage is extreme, automated, or appears abusive, we may rate-limit, throttle, pause, or contact the family about that usage, and in clear cases of abuse we may suspend the account.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tuck to send unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, to record or share information about people you are not entitled to, to impersonate someone, to access another family's memories without permission, to interfere with or reverse-engineer the service, or to abuse messaging, voice, email, or AI systems.
Not for emergencies
Tuck is not an emergency service and may not deliver or respond to messages in real time. Do not use Tuck to report emergencies or to seek medical, legal, safety, or other urgent help. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number (such as 911).
Availability and your own backups
Tuck is provided on an as-available basis and may be unavailable during maintenance, vendor outages, updates, rate limits, or service failures. We may add, change, or remove features over time. Memories should not be treated as the only copy of irreplaceable family media — please keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Disclaimers
Tuck is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that Tuck will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that memories or media will always be preserved, available, or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2618991 Ontario Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, memories, media, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Tuck. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Tuck in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Tuck at any time, and you can cancel a subscription as described above. We may suspend or end access for abuse, non-payment, security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the service. We aim to give reasonable notice and a path to export where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ontario, Canada will have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to Tuck or these terms, though either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
